Here for you

Cassy Ainsworth, LSCSW,EMDR,CDWF, certified somatic sex therapist:

I am a therapist, a supervisor, and an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas. I have both an undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science and a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Kansas and focused on Juvenile Justice, Race, Gender, and Sexuality studies.

I practice from an intersectional approach tailoring my therapy to the unique needs of each individual person taking into consideration the social location and intersections of their identity. My approach allows a safe space for people to show up in their lives wholeheartedly and fully. I honor deeply the courage it takes to show up and be seen so the pace of the journey is always tailored to your comfort. Together we foster authentic growth so you can be the best version of yourself. We foster and value self-compassion, shame resilience, value driven lives, trust and being real with ourselves and our emotions so you can live a courageous life.

I have over a decade of experience in the field. I am constantly building my professional offerings keeping up with the latest research in the field and I have acquired experience providing group, individual, couples, and family therapy to a diverse population with a variety of concerns.
